That's what I would like to know.

The Boyz have been unresponsive to requests from members to stop what is going on.

Unfortunately, this whole fiasco started with a few lunatics who were kicked off the venue for doing exactly what they are doing right now...sitting at their computer pretending to be one or two unknowns and cyberbullying anyone they can.

This person has nothing better to do and is truly insane from jealousy. It has totally overtaken everything they do and think.

I've never seen anything like what I am seeing here on this thread. Plese know that we do know who you are, you were on Bonanzle long enough for us to figure it out.

For anyone looking into joining Bonanzle...don't be misled by the horrible things this ex-member is saying. She is even joining other venues and making it seem like someone from Bonanzle is doing it. Her plan is well thought out, and she thinks she can disuade everyone, but she will get tired eventually and do something that really puts her behind bars. Crazy lunatics don't run far before they run into a jail cell.

As to malicously hurting members on the venue who are truly at their most vulnerable, this person should be ashamed of themselves...but they're not. They continue to reopen wounds and make false accusations that they conjured up in their own minds.

You can't stop the growth..Bonanzle is exploding with popularity and well it should be. All this hype is meant to do nothing except hurt people and inhibit Bonanzles growth. But it won't work. Most people are not lunatics and will see right through your venomnous personality.

Well which is it? A few lunatic bullies, one or two unknowns, or a one woman show? Can you please make up your mind?! I just have to laugh at you because you sound so desperate you can't even come to a clear conclusion. You are just grasping at straws.

Not only that, but you are out of your mind if that's what you think! I've been on Bonanzle long enough to know that many, many of the members are concerned about the exact same things that are posted in this blog. Not just "a few lunatics, one or two unknowns or a one woman show' but several, too numerous to count! They have expressed these concerns right there on the forums only to be silenced. Meaning, the thread gets removed.

So before you go out in public accusing these 'rabid' speakers of speaking untruths, start with your own neighborhood. This is the only place people can say how they feel without the threat of being 'kicked off' or bullied because if it's brought up in the forums, it goes 'poof' within minutes and then the bullies or cheerleaders will be after you. Remember, all forum threads must be sweet and nice like flowers blooming year round, a photo of a cat on it's back stretching, what you planted in your garden, what is your favorite color and so on. Now these are all wonderful topics for those that choose to participate in the humdrum threads but real issues get thrown out.

As a parent, if I did that to my children - silenced them every time they had an issue - what kind of parent would I be? You just can't treat people that way. I guess if the 'Boyz' would handle the situations as they arise, there would be no need to air it out in the forums but they let it fester until it becomes a cancer spreading like wildfire. And then you end up with bullies, gangs and victims and this!

The best advice I could give anyone is this:

Change begins from within.

If you really think about it, that's where this mess is heading. Maybe not the real New York Times but the equivalent of it on the World Wide Web. It made it here didn't it?

You want to change something, look in the mirror. If everyone did that, this would all be over. There will always be those few that can't seem to find a mirror. Fine, BOOT THEIR ASSES OUT! Just make sure you don't boot the victims and not the bullies because I've seen that happen too!

I have no problem with Bonanzle. Unfortunately, there will be trolls and molls on EVERY forum. Ebay is 90% trolls IMO. I'm sorry to hear that Bluejay has some problems with people from Bonanzle. Could be some people that are trying to start a war between the two. If you see a post that's offensive, just pass it by!! Report it if you have to. The owners of Bonanzle can't be 24/7 babysitters. But move on. Let it go.

I keep to myself. Most of my sales have been from outside the site. I promote mostly outside the site, but will let fellow Bonanzlers know if anything new has been added to the booth. Overall, it IS a nice community! I haven't had a problem with anyone and everyone I've been in touch with has been most helpful and friendly. Ebay has become a monster! NO ONE is friendly or helpful, most have become very defensive and paranoid. I will NEVER sell on there again.

And just like anything else you look into purchasing....buyer beware. Bonanzle may have some questionable sellers, but so does Bluejay, eCrater, eBid, iOffer and EBAY!

What is wrong with some Bonanzle members?

Since this article, we've had some "new members" sign up at BluJay. Not to sell - to come into the forums, post obscene photos in some threads, and in others talk about how great Bonanzle is. It's the same id doing both. Heck of a way to promote your site. In one post talk about how great it is, and in another, post an obscene photograph. The posts are being deleted - but the person just comes back and does it again. And it all started after this article. Is this how you defend your site?

No site is perfect. Why don't you losers take care of the problems on your site instead of bothering the rest of us who really are not interested in your stupid games? Pathetic image of Bonanzle you're presenting. After seeing all this here and that there, you could not PAY ME to open a booth at Bonanzle.

And I'm posting this here so other people thinking about selling at Bonanzle can see what kind of people they will be selling with.

Tired of this crap from your members. Worry about Bonanzle and leave the rest of us alone.

To the writer of "At What Cost Warm & Fuzzy???"

First of all, interesting Statistics, and BIASED!
You "picked" members who posted in the thousands. The majority only do in the low hundreds. And even more so DO NOT post at all! If you add all the postings up, it's = 550,000 posts. Bonanzle has 56500 members as of now. Divide 550,000 by 56500, that will give you 9.7 posts per member. Even if you dispute that buyers won't talk in forum, divide that by 15000 booth sellers, you still get 36.6 post per member. THAT WILL BE AN ACCURATE STATISTICS FIGURE! So before you try to mislead people, pls pay attention to your Statistics classes and make sure you score an A!

P/S: Oh yes, the ratio the feedback/postings of your so-called "random" sellers are dismaying. Have it occurred to you these sellers had put in effort to welcome new members and helping them with answers to their questions IN THE EXPENSE of meagre sales. Laugh all you want. And to those of you smart Alexes, if you think you are so clever, come out with an alternative site yourself instead of bashing Bonanzle!

Well, I saw Mr. Donato's original post as I just happened to be on the forum. I had also just been made aware of all the posts here on webpronews. This guy comes onto the forum with no avatar yet so obviously new. Everyone at Bonanzle is aware of the webpronews article and some of the things being talked about. So here comes Mr. prospective seller and he DID not ask in a normal way. The first post that you post in a forum (especially one that is being attacked on the outside) is "hey - I'm thinking of selling and I need to know if its true that there are blacklists and bullies and who are the bullies, etc. Then when all he got was positive response - he was NOT HAPPY and repeated his question the same way several times. Sheesh, who wouldn't be suspicious that this is someone that has an alternative motive. I've only been on Bonanzle for two months - I have NO clue who these supposed Bullies are and I have over 500 posts? So, my first thought when I saw his post was - wow, hes coming right out and asking such negative questions in such an abrubt negative way - I wonder if hes just trying to get info for a story - a reporter or something. And I'm not paranoid, I'm just a seller who has had some good sales with very low selling costs at Bonanzle. So Mr. Donato - you went about your research in the worst possible way - if that is truly what you were doing. You should have just observed the forums for a few days at least - by posting the questions you did, of course the couple of major troublemakers would contact you and tell you their sob stores. Not very impressive for someone in sales.

Let me first start out by saying this is a good selling site with staggering potential. The staff is good but their tact can use a little buffering at times.

In my opinion I would limit the gossip or better yet get rid of it. It's a creeping cancer. John's post is right on the money. I totally agree with him except there is only a a division of about 3 gangs that I know of that ruin it..

Yes you do have back stabbers and they have to be broken up or thrown off if bonz is to advance.

That I'm digging out auction was an embarrassment to all well meaning participants including myself. When I questioned the inconcisstancies under a different name the individual who ran it didn't answer my questions but wanted my identity and called me a coward. I can cut and paste the emails Never did find out who Gladys was or what exactly was all that about..

Now this granny 123 is a real joke. After purchasing a bogus piece of junk from her at first she hemmed and hawed on and on that it was worth much more. It was a dollar store crapper. I left a positive thinking she didn't know any better but was I wrong. I started to follow her conniving ways and was really sorry I didn't bang her with a neg.

What with this fear factor of getting a sale from somebody that has like 200 family members, lol..in their profile??? Is that supposed to alarm me, uh, not really, But, the idea does occur to me that I can be falling into a trap for a negative because I favorited their rival. Been there done that on ebay.

I'm off there for now and just looking to see if things get better.
Again I repeat bonanzle is either on a collision course or on their way to other galaxies. My advise is you good guys stay and run these greedies off.

The only SIMPLE answer is TO REMOVE THE FORUMS. Bonanzle is supposed to be a venue to SELL, not gossip. By removing the forums, sellers and prospective buyers will simply enter what they are searching for instead of sitting 24/7 and reading the posts. Jealousy exists everywhere and where there is competition, there will always be trouble. Allowing these forums to exist hinders and distracts buyers from doing what they're there for. HELLO MARK, BILL, pssst..REMOVE THE FORUMS ALTOGETHER. There WILL be MORE sales and NO reading. People will do a search on items instead of snacking and reading all day long. If they want to chat, tell them to go to any chat room away from bonanzle and bring their friends with them. They'll be doing Bonanzle a great favor. There are PLENTY of groups on there that just start trouble because they are not making any sales at all. How can they? People are too busy reading gossip. It's a free online gossip rag. And the favorite booths thing is a hinderance, too. If you favor somebody, then the others see that AND WILL NOT BUY FROM YOU, WHY? Because they have a vendetta against the one you favored. See the point, Guys? The damage is already done as these groups of people already correspond via email and plot against a good seller. They'll have another member bonz mail you asking questions, just waiting for the member to type something they can use against you. PROBLEM: THE DISCUSSION BOARDS SOLUTION: REMOVE THEM COMPLETELY. They are useless and entertain the schemers. Take them down and let people search ONLY FOR ITEMS THEY ARE INTERESTED IN BUYING. Bullies, gangs, etc. you all know who you are, show your face, reply to this, then you'll have my undivided attention. I sincerely doubt anyone has the guts to reveal themselves, why would they? Because they don't have the time, they are too busy creating WWIII on a great site. It really must be lousy to be you. Tickled Pink I left. Never to return again. This could have been a great alternative site, but these jealous vindictative misfits just had to ruin it. No doubt they are still on ebay and probably are the ones who messed that site up too. It's back to bricks and mortar for me, at least I can confront my customers face to face without all this pettiness. Keep up the games Granny et. al. you just destroyed a potentially powerful venue. Some people need money badly, but you wouldn't know about that, you have money & you are selling on various sites. Stop using and abusing people. The latter applies to all.

And the reason I don't understand it is because it is the way the site team wants it to be. There is no other explanation. Because what many view as bad behavior could be shut down in a New York minute if the Boyz had the inclination to do so. All of this talk by many of the Bonanzle faithful that they are "working" on it and "looking" at the problem is just so much baloney.

Allowing it to continue and prosper is beneficial, for the simple reason that it keeps people coming back to the forums. And it keeps people coming back to the site. It's like some never ending soap opera, and people flock to see what tomorrow's episode will bring.

To focus on individual behavior, and to focus on that ludicrous baiting done by prospective_seller misses the point entirely. Because the only relevant question is why in the world is it allowed to continue- regardless of who the perpetrators are. And the answer is that the Boyz want it to continue.

There are a large number of well-intentioned people who go to the forums daily. In fact, it's arguable that is their primary intention for being on Bonanzle. Because if they are looking for a serious selling venue, they went to the wrong place. It may be that one day, but it certainly isn't yet. And no one would argue with that.

At random, I picked out the stats from five prominent participants in the Bonanzle forums. Four of the five were ponying up the premiere membership as well. Now before you start the hue and cry that not everyone leaves feedback, I would agree. But let's assume, for the sake of argument, that only 10% of their buyers left feedback. And here's what you get: (No one is named here, and I fudged the figures by a point or two so no one could be identified by the numbers alone)

All members have been on Bonanzle at least 6 months, and all have a minimum 100+ items in their booths.

Even if you multiply those sales numbers by 90%, that is still an abysmal showing for a 6-8 month time frame. And I for one believe that easily more than 10% of buyers are leaving feedback.

And this isn't an indictment against these people- or any other Bonanzle people for that matter.

What it is is a tribute to the Boyz. Bonanzle started as a warm and fuzzy place for a lot of people to go to. A nice place to exchange pleasantries- and maybe build something.

And over time, a lot of people just willingly drank the Kool Aid, and bought into the whole Bonanzle mind set. And now you have a lot of Bonanzler's championing the site and defending the Boyz like some sort of Pavlovian reaction without any thought.

And what do they receive in return? Mediocre tools when it comes to shipping and checkout. No promotions to speak of. And certainly no sales to justify that level of participation.

So forget about who's tagging who, who's blacklisting, and who's baiting. Because all of that amounts to zilch in the scheme of things.

What it is is the slickest role out and promotion imaginable. Gin up the drama, make sure it keeps rolling, and make sure there is plenty of fresh meat for tomorrow's installment.

If they pull it off long term, the Boyz are geniuses...
