I purchased a Kindle DX It
I purchased a Kindle DX
It is a wonderful machine
I am a physician and my office is cluttered with publications, and not every thing including books are in my kindle.
When I review a medical journal I downloand from their site the original article that is applicable to me and send it to Kindle for a nominal fee.
I even downloaded the whole Piano concerto number 2 by Rachmaminov for me to practice when I have free time and in front of a piano.
Getting the WSJ in the AM is also a great plus.
The only down side in my opinion is that it lacks the ability to create folder to organize your desk top.

I just don't understand why there's a demand for such a product. It gets people killed while reading and crossing the road.

Poeple want to have new gadgets! This happens with every new gadget. Some friends in London were queing all night to get the iphone when it was launched!!!! and the shelve it after few months for a new samsung.

Kindle only addresses a small pool of consumers who have that fiesty addiction of wanting to read all the time.

I can't wait. The original Kindle was da bomb (do people still use that anymore), and this new one looks totally sweet too. I ordered mine - it's revolutionized the way I read.
The kindle is going to get
The kindle is going to get into textbooks... which will make the job of revisionism in historical records even easier.
The new text books will weigh less and magically change history even as you read.

While the Gettys sit in England; at their estate at Wormsley;
And Gordon sings in San Francisco …
With his 727 in tow;
The Getty museum sits atop Malibu;
While the corpses of World War 2 scream … “J.P. Getty … We know you!”
