You are right about the DVR. I have one...I never watch commercials. haha I have no clue what modern commercials are like...but I have seen too many browser banners and adwords that I think I've seen more ads that I ever saw in my entire life of tube TV.

Hulu and Jooste and I think NetFlix might be into it or planning on it.
There are others comming up too I think.

I think online TV is a lot

I think online TV is a lot more useful for advertisers since most people use DVRs, they always skip ads when watching their fav shows but online streaming, its not possible to skip these ads.

It is sad to say that this is nothing new, but the content providers are just getting wise to this. It is now up to the content providers t change their strategy.
