Twitter Surpasses Digg in Traffic

Some Find This Surprising

Growing

I'm a bit surprised about Digg's traffic. They should be growing instead of dropping.

Twitter by the way is too simple.. no one in the world would find twitter hard to use, when it's simple, people will join. And the registration just takes a short while. People would love to sign up...

Nice sharing!

twitter passes digg = time spent to publish

I contributed to Digg on things found on the Web.
Time to post: 1 minute. Too long for me.
They need to redesign the input process.
Which should take less than 30 seconds.
Allow multiple posts at asame time before checking for uniqueness.

Twitter is really like quick chat: text the minimum to do a shout out. Comparing Digg to Twitter is not useful.
Somewhere in between lies the Wiki or Where Are You Now (WAYN.com)

One thing I am worried is,

One thing I am worried is, can Twitter keep up with the traffic demands of the world? Seeing the birds and the whale frequently is not a good sign, they really need to upgrade servers or make things run faster.

They owe it to...

Thanks, Chris. As always you do a great job with your posts.

I'm typically on Twitter to socially market my safety and security web site and raise awareness for it's products. I'm not alone in this. Lot's of web site owners, network marketers and blogger are there for the same reason. The age ranges verify that.

Thanks to us, Twitter is booming.

Am I the last one?

Hey -- found your blog through a link post on Pure Blogging. I asked the question there -- can you break down some pros / cons or have your readers invited to comment a similar breakdown of twitter? I don't use it -- yet. But maybe it's time? Is it that valuable, and if so, what for most of all? Traffic?

I do not get this twitter
