Hang-up and DRIVE!!!
Cant't count the number of times I've come up from behind someone in the left lane only to find out that they were on the phone and yes even texting while driving, I could care less about your liberty when you endanger my life or safety for the sake of a call that could have wated until your were home. I've been trapped behind people on their phones for as long as 10 to 15 minutes while they slow down then speed up and slow down again oblivious to the road or others around them. I've been in favor of banning them while driving since the damn things have been around, jja
I create/manage several
I create/manage several websites and track visits and today I received traffic from Twitter. It took me a while to jump on Twitter as I didn't "get" it or it's importance. I am now a big fan and seeing the traffic is a big plus.
HA HA you need to slow down
HA HA you need to slow down and relax. Cell phones dont kill, aggressive drivers behind people driving the speed limit kill!!
What's next?
One liberty after another is taken away under the pretext of "Safety". What's next? Will we be banned from eating, smoking drinking, wiping our childrens noses and eventually talking to passengers as well? When is the ultimate control of the few over the many going to stop?
They can quote all the statistics they want... People will always have accidents, people will die. It's the laws of nature. Even if we do absolutely nothing. So why prohibit every little bit of fun in life as well? Humanity is probably going to prohibit itself to extinction, lol.
The question of measurment
So, you do not wear your seatbelt, do not need an airbag? Ever thought about that you are putting others in danger as well when you are not concentrating on driving? It is not taking away liberty. It is protecting people from others using only small parts of their brain focusing on a complex procedure called driving. Would you allow drink driving then again as well?
It's about time
I've always been against phone use in motor vehicles. It doesn't take many brain cells to figure that it has a negative effect on driving and traffic in general.
I have what is likely to be a life-long neck injury because someone was looking at their phone instead of the road, proof.
Anyone against this long overdue movement is likely someone who spends their entire commute on the phone, thus is biased, and dangerous to be around.

I hope you die from your life long injury. Perhaps you should have been a more defensive driver.
I have used cell phones while driving (without the damn headset) for the past 15 years and have not been in a single accident while on the cell phone or not. Blaming cell phone use for people not paying attention to the road is simply a scapegoat. Perhaps in addition to charging higher insurance to dangerous drivers they should also charge danger fees to encourage drivers to pay attention and be safe.
