Viral Marketing On The Cheap

Big success on a tiny budget

Video today

what will become more apparent is the integrated use of video. mobile phones now provide a platform that means the web and video are becoming more closely integrated than ever.

Viral Marketing

The Viral marketing method, historically, has been responsible for many of the best marketing campaigns ever launched.

Just because people overuse a term doesn’t invalidate the effectiveness of the concept.

Viral marketing is genius and quite valuable for many marketers that rely on the internet for a full time income.

Incidentally, viral marketing isn’t spam by definition. It’s the enthusiastic acceptance of the message that breeds the viral effect. It’s a general frenzy of excitement that spreads the message.

That is clearly not the force feeding of an unwanted promotion that we so appropriately call spam.

Viral Marketing is so successful because creates the curiosity and desire needed to generate the demand for a product or service. It causes people to seek it out. Think of the Blair Witch Project or some of the more famous videos on YouTube or think of HALO III they spent little on marketing and had record sales!

Video & web

thankyou for this insight. I think it is important for people to realise the importance of video on their websites. Meticulously reading small portions of text on over cluttered pages is old-hat now... people go straight for the play button!

Viral Video

There's never been a better time for viral marketing with the rise of social media and online video still occurring. It's getting more competitive, but that should really bring out creativity, which in my opinion is only good for the industry.

Viral Marketing Website Software

The secret to successful marketing is simple.Sell only to the people that want to buy your product!

The problem with the Wolrd Wide Web and the way search and media work is its all based on popularity contests rather than categorization. Granted, thats a very hard thing to enforce online. But its still very hard for people to find:

1. Accurate information

2. Relevant information

3. Personalized information

4. Timely information

Why? The reason is because people are constantly marketing services and products based on trying to get the most eyeballs rather than relevant users who actually have the desire and need to buy a product. I guess what Im trying to say is, we need a better Web or system online to help people categorize sites and pages and content so people can sort through the information and find the relevant information that applies to them. This means filtering, and thats the problem. Its also the reason we have people spending increasing amounts of money online to get more visitors. What ends up happening is we create a war of attrition, rather than a direct marketing experience where people are successful within their specific service ort product category. Instead, we bimbard people with information and we get back thousands of users who do not really come to our site with any form of interest in our products. Im hoping that will change over time as the Web evolves.

iPhone Security

I wonder how little kids have seen these videos and put mum or dads iPhone, iPod in the blender to see what would happen. Maybe this campaign is the underling fact to the high sales in iPhones.

Great video campaigns.

viral video insights

The "will it blend" campaign was indeed very successful on a minimum budget. But the reality of viral videos is quite different: Many of them look (on purpose) like they are shot on a small budget - but they are not. We often see 6 or even 7 figure budgets. Added to this are enormous marketing efforts to push the videos views (if they are not manipulated in the first place).

Creating viral videos on a budget and finding a decent audience is hard business and requires: 1. Creative writers, 2. Qualified producers, 3. A customized publishing strategy, 4. Luck

We have the first 3 down but not always the 4th one;-)

We have been producing over 150 videos on a budget in the last 18 months. I know what I am talking about.

You can look us up at moviebakery.com to learn more about how we are doing it.

Good luck with your own viral efforts!

Build a better mousetrap......

There are 10 or 20 other websites out there like ours, but by giving ours the added advertising push it needed along with some "thinking outside the box" ideas, the traffic has grown tremendously. Every product in existence can be improved upon, either by an enterprising thought or by advances in technology. Never say that an item,an idea or a service cannot be improved upon. It is simply not true,it just hasn't been tried yet.
