Street View in Germany (or not)

I don't mean to go too far off topic here, but since you brought it up...

I would be interested in what German citizens think of Street View. We've heard from an official or two from Germany who have privacy concerns. And then of course, the one in that small town, Molfsee, where Street View won't be an issue, because Google has no interest in it. Do these concerns represent Germans as a group? Are most Germans more interested in privacy than an innovative tool?

As for the France imagery - good job, all of you brave and daring Google photographers.

After born and living 25

After born and living 25 years in Germany and leaving Germany 30 years ago, I can tell you Germans have a limited view to everything that relates to the outside world. If Google was German there was no problem at all.
