Makes lots of Business Sense

Makes dollar sense of course to use videos to make money.
Just one question, is YouTube paying royalties to anyone other then Google?

I think the idea of monetizing select videos makes sense. People are essentially open to the idea of advertising in most mediums.

I think pre-roll ads will kill YouTube. At least, in Russia. We have other video services and people will prefer using them. For example, RuTube keeps video in much better quality than YouTube but people mostly use YouTube because it is worldwide... It is not difficult to make people go from YouTube. I think the same situation can be somewhere else not only in Russia...

I THINK PEOPLE SHOULD GET A CHOICE

I think when it comes to advertisments people should get to pick and choose what they want to see that is where so often advertisers REALLY MISS THE BOAT by forcing peple to see what they don't want to and thus turing away people LEFT & RIGHT intstead of forcing people give them options of what they would want to see like for instance I think advertisers should give little samples of advertisments and then let the people decide if they want to view it NOT FORCE THEM TO my final thought is this I think advertisers should give deals next time somone stops at there website if they choose to click on it AND BY THE WAY ONLY FAMILY FRIENDLY ADVERTISMENS SHOULD BE ALLOWED

You see adverts on most

You see adverts on most other video sites, especially those with game and movie trailers etc. But those are more commercial. YouTube is about the people who use it, not as an advertising medium for companies.

It could have negative effects to the amount of videos watched I think.
