SEO Company Market Appeal
Why dont they choose us?
Good question to ask! I think however this article refers more to agencies and large corporates buying SEO services rather than your small business or marketing manager.
Rarely do I get the impression an enquirer doesnt choose us because of the way for e.g. we do keyword analysis or that we arent up to date with latest developments in our marketplace. I think whether we get the sale or not comes down to more fundamental issues as the kinds of clients we and im sure the bulk of SEO agencies have are not the aforementioned demographic.
Do the clients understand what we are telling them and how we can help them? Is our service affordable for them? Are they happy with the campaign expectations and timeframe? These kind of things usually determine what makes them buy or not. Certainly the positive answers to those questions from 'buyers' are what we understand or are told is why we got the business.
Im a firm believer that preaching how complicated and advanced our approach to SEO is the single biggest put off to the average SEO buyer as they havent got a clue what we are talking about and therefore distrust us - a massive problem for our industry.
