ebay Looking to Unload StumbleUpon?

Who's the Buyer Going to Be?

Microsoft or Google, who will it be?

Google is rolling out their own social network fast and I gaurantee it will have a bearing on search. Friend Connect and Google Reader are all going to integrate together and already do to form a portable freinds list and RSS following application.

Microsoft has no choice but to try to keep up. They attempted with a Yahoo acquisition with Flickr and Delicious in the background but with that is in Ichahn's hands StumbleUpon could look really good to Microsoft.

Micorsoft may still try to pick up Digg since they really have no suitors but Stumble is has a loyal, close knit community that does not tollerate spam like Digg and prefers quality content to the Diggs, Diggs, Diggs and the front page mentality of Digg users.

Microsoft, wake up! A StumbleUpon integrated search / social search engine could be just what the doctor ordered to bring MSN back to life. (or maybe it's first life)

Just keep Steve Ballmer away from it and put someone in charge of it that knows what we social users want.

Why Ebay bought SU? This is

Why Ebay bought SU? This is not their field completely.

stumbleupon

Well there is the distinct possibility that google might buy stumbleupon, they probably are well suited for it,we at Yomi11 might also consider it as a compliment to our website,if we can raise the capital.

eBay needs to sell

I personally thing Google would be a much better owner than eBay. What does an auction company know about searching?

Ebay have no business really

Ebay have no business really with social bookmarking. I think a Google takover would indeed be more suitable and we'd also see the toolbar added to Chrome I'd assume.
