For many of the same

For many of the same reasons, the users will benefit greatly from this. They will discover new music that they like, that they would never hear elsewhere. They can hear music for free - a huge plus. They can connect with artists on a level that was simply impossible in the past. They have an on-demand jukebox at their disposal and the only price they have to pay is to see some on-screen ads (which presumably will do just fine residing in a separate browser tab).

Myspace Music looks great,

Myspace Music looks great, however, right now I'm using http://www.deezer.com/en and it's AWESOME! A huge catalogue, a great interface, and quite good focuses on emerging artists! Great!

This will be a huge step up for bands and musicians that are currently using Myspace to promote their music since now many more people will be visiting the website to find popular songs.

MySpace & Music

MySpace is a great social network for aspiring musicians. Instead of fighting with agencys and what not to get there name out there - MySpace gives you the stage to promote your talent.

I look at MySpace as one big popularity contest.

MUSIC on Myspace

As ever such moved benefit, if indeed there is a benefit, only the major record labels. As the owner of a number of masters, and publisher of some copyrights, I cannot imagine that there will be any benefit accruing to me. And there are a good many others like me. It reminds me of a conversation I had with someone from PRS who told me that a title that had somewhere in the order of 100.000 plays on U-Tube brought in a £1!!!
