Bullying & Harrasment on the job
Hi,Thanks for the article.I first started a job in an insurance company 15 months ago.I was sitting right next to my boss.He had isolated me from the rest of my team.He used to whisper nasty things to me like you should be sacked and I hate you.He made my life at work a misery so I reported it to HR .My other manager sat in the meeting also but he was very good friends with my boss(the bully). He advised me that thats just the way he is and to go back to work.My heart sank with nerves at this stage.HR said that they would set up a meeting with me & the bully to sort out our differences but it never happened.HR left me sitting beside him for a further 9 months.I used to vomit every morning before work & have terrible panic attacks so I used to take alot of sick days due to this.My partner pleaded with me to leave as he could see a massive change in me that scared him as my health deteriorated.I ened up having to take sickleave so I have now been off for 3 months.I keep having flashbacks of the incidents ,depression ,panic attacks and vomiting still eventhough I am out now nearly 3 months.I am going down the legal route & I have got a Solicitor as this monster & HR should not get away with this.I feel terminally ill due to this.Any advice from anyone who is going through the same thing??
bullying
Dear Madam,
Thank you so much for the information provided in your article. I work as a scientist in a research institute in Germany. I am bullied, unfairly treated, manipulated and harassed systematically by my immediate bosses. As I am a doctoral student, they take advantage, thinking that they can tamper with my future and career. Please advise me as to who can be contacted and how I can report my problem and how I can handle my situation. Is there any legal remedy to this problem in Germany ? Which is the agency/organisation and who is the contact person to report this problem to ? Please advise.
Thanks in advance,
George
