mobile SMS and Twitter
I think SMS is not a solution anymore . There are many mobile softwares that can used with GPRS/3G . For eg:talkonaut , Celity etc. And now Twitter had withdrawn SMS service from all countries .

The way Twitter is heading at the moment, I honestly can't see it lasting more than a year or so.
