Social Networking- The End of emails?
I agree with Marige. Email marketing is no more an effective marketing strategy. Actually social networking sites and blogs help businesses to directly communicate with qualified potential customers. And in Email marketing you are not sure whether you have reached to your potential customer or not. Definitely, social networking is impacting Email marketing.
Email and Social Networking
I am not surprised by these findings.
Email marketing has become less and less effective in recent months as email servers employ increasingly restrictive filters-- sometimes even filtering out emails that are wanted!
I, personally, have experienced countless examples of my own email server putting opted in emails (even my WebProNews newsletter) into my spam folder... as if to 'test' me, to see if I really want it. Unfortunately, most peple do not even look over their spam folders... and, if someone doesn't look for and retrieve it, and accidently delete, I have unwittingly filtered it out altogether.
So, it's only natural that marketers will turn to more reliable forms of communication.
