ICANN Approves Expansion Of Domain Names

Calls it an Internet milestone

Unlimited Extensions

I saw this referenced at http://www.SubliminalMessages.com and could not believe my bloody eyes.

Stupid, stupid, stupid!

The new custom extensions will fizzle just like .aero, .travel., .museum, .mobi., .biz, and .coop....except now, ICANN will be out of ammo.  Also, the Pandora's trademark box that just opened will be one which may take decades to mop up.

Big mistake, my Icannian friends.

Erratus

The Chinese .cn has already passed the .net and .de to become the second TLD I think, or it should be a matter of weeks now...

Domain tasting

It is good to see that ICANN is allowing new types of TLD's. I think they have a monumental task of overseeing the great void.

I have always thought domain tasting was unfair to the little guy. Somewhat like a superhigh tech inside trading.  Pulling out the best with little risk and leaving the scraps for us to purchase at $7.95 each  "Please, more sir"
