interesting

Very good point, but at some point their is going to be a downturn in viewers, much like the superbowl and things will start to drop.

I think they would be just

I think they would be just as likely to go for charging per sale as per charging per impression.  The branding argument isn't as strong when there are several other competitors offering the same wares on the page, imo.

Google

Google has in effect created a whole new online way of creating for marketers. The optimisation will always be a way for people who now have "jobs" based on this market. They have helped create a low entry level, with high return prospects situation.

Keep charging for those ads Google. You have helped globalise business for many.

In fact, try and think back to 10 years ago...without the web being widely used worlwide and it gives an idea of just what this search engine has helped to create!

Google ads

We stopped advertising on Google not due to cost but due to unfair marketing practices of other companies.

We found that instead of competing using the same practices, we would suspend paid advertising and build our referral business. This has grown our business faster with better clients than paying for Google ads.

Paying for Google ads may have been fine for the beginning, but now we rely upon great pricing, exception service and satisfied clients. This has worked better than any paid advertising could have.
