MySpace Wins $6 Million In Spam Suit

Colorado firm to pay damages, legal fees

Myspace Spam

In reading through the settlement documents it talks about how Myspace has beefed up their security force from 2 people to 30 people.  Can you imagine 2 people trying to control all of myspace from a security perspective?  Now that they finally have the staff behind it, it's certainly becoming a much different place for spammers.  I think we'll start to see spam ebb from Myspace, much like it has on other established mediums.

About time

There is definitely a clear line between social media marketing and spamming. Happy to see this action taken against those that litter the social networking environment with excessive crud. Hopefully this example will be a good lesson in tact for those that need it.
