RE: "Think carefully about your profile picture. Would you want it to be appearing in your local newspaper?"

The evil sites of Old Media already perform this bit of wonderfull service of data drilling for the good it does a few in the Private domain... They even have users upload images under free use copyrights and lock them up with digital rights management, apply copyrights, edit blogs to insite hate ideals and generate more sales, etc..

What self interest laws will they invent next? I see people can be arrested for things done over the internet yet I never have seen any Old Media owners arrested? funny, ha.

Oh, back on the SN side of things.. there are a lot of things that need to be done first, that will ensure rights of all parties - these sites claim freeddom but delute into happy sites where one can only write history in such a one sided way (bit more like hit list of the money, or is there FB or Myspace for death row yet.. lol.. newspaper?

:-)

Buy a polaroid

I think I might be tempted to buy a polaroid camera and a CB radio if ever this peice of draconian nastiness ever comes into being.
