Multiple Local Locations
Does anyone have any tips as to how sites for chains with several branches can ensure that they show up in local searches for all of their respective locations?
Google's local search
Good Local SEO is key
I agree with Jeff Maslan. I run a mortgage website for my own promotion and have used local keyword phrases to build a very strong web presence. I hope that the local search continues to take a while to get there because as it sits right now, I am remaining on top of Google's organic results for Charlotte mortgage related web searches such as Charlotte FHA mortgage loans
HCARD solution
I think they could easily solve this by employing the HCARD format into their algorythem. The format is out and already sorted out and ready to go. The only compaints will be from people who don't know how to insert this into their code. But, this should not be a factor in the decision. You can't let the lame hold back the herd.
This is why local search is easy
for SEO. Most geo targeted keyword campaigns work because there is little competetion. Mix that with Google's push for user generated content and the real estate given to Google Maps - you can generate a very effective local campaign. Check out my examples on Google Local Advertising.
local search
Google is constantly trying to improve the customers data, nothing wrong about that, but a nightmare for seo experts.
