Yup on groups
Yes, I noticed the same thing several months ago. It's a big nightmare to add videos to groups now. It's one thing to not add video's to other peoples groups, but why can't I easily add them to my own group? Certainly not one of Google's better moves IMHO.

You tube has a facility of starting groups where one can aggregate videos of one's liking and invite other members to join in. Over a period of time I get the feeling that they are probably discouraging this feature. Earlier one could add a video to the groyp with one click. Now one has to go through the playlist. Also when you login as a user, your group is nowhere mentioned, so accessing the group becomes more difficult.
