Twitter Blacklist Bites Thumb At Obnoxious People

And Spammers, too

But WebmasterRadio, with 1,110 followers is there, too along with its 4:1 ratio and an announcement there'll be no live Daily Search Cast today. I've been a special guest on WebmasterRadio, which obviously makes it legit :-D. Aside from that, a good number of the tweets are decidedly un-spammy. Guess WebmasterRadio falls into the "obnoxious people" category. Suppose I might be next.

Twitter somehow got really popular even though it's not that much different. Lisanova on youtube gives some good twitter parodies.

Twitter should be for personal use - not business

In my opinion, the whole service model for Twitter is sketchy to begin with and little more than a "trendy" idea for people trying to build relationships.  I don't see those relationships being built for anything other than "marketing" of some sort down the road.

I personally don't need to know when people I know "brush their teeth", "visit starbucks" or are generally so bored that they have time to "Twitter" their current status.

When businesses get involved w/ Twitter too, there's nothing positive about it - it's always going to be marketing material and borderline spamming.  It's just a different take on signing up for an email newsletter - just more in your face & annoying.

Maybe I'm looking at it all wrong, but it seems like an over-hyped service with a short shelf-life.
