Re:Comments
I find your articles very interesting. There are lot of things which I keep learning from your articles. For example, Mr Dharmesh Shah's "28 Tips" was very informative and worth reading. Likewise, I find many of the articles written are very informative and provides lot of knowledge to us. Good Work.
Never Underestimate the power of a Stumble
I am very glad to be part of the StumbleUpon community. Google and StumbleUpon are the top two sources of traffic for me. I have learned to never underestimate the power that a well timed Stumble can have on your traffic and your reputation as a blogger. Also if someone gives you a bad review please don't go postal on that Stumbler, handle the bad review with grace and dignity.I have only had one bad review on StumbleUpon and I messaged the reviewr back and ver politely asked him why he reviewed me the way he did. He very politly messaged me back and diplomatically told me why he felt the way he did. Once I wa ssatisfied with what he had to say I was cool with it. You can use your negative reviews to grow and see where you can make improvements.
Incidentaly the one thing he had to comment on was my blog theme. However, I am not changing my theme anytime soon because it works for what I need it to do which is handle images up to 500 by 500 and not flow over into the sidebars.
Thanks Jason for yet another great article. I do want to say I really enjoy your writing style.
Stumbling/Dugg/ Face it For What?
What we need is sticky traffic and that falls on the webmasters. These social sites are like bees drawn to the hive but it is up to the webmasters to make their sites THE QUEEN BEE. They say build it and they will COME. I say if you build it Right They will STAY.
If they are looking to buy-sell great stuff. If they are looking to laugh-give them Damn Funny Stuff .
If they are looking to eat-serve some doggone good food. If they are looking for travel-show them some beautiful pictures and places and bargains to get there. The list goes on--
You can get that instant traffic from that beehive--so work harder at being a BEEKEEPER.
Stumbling to conversions
In respects the title of the piece is misleading. Stumbleupon has a role in building a presence for blogs but its application for real monetisation is, on the evidence I've seen, highly limited.
Stumble
I just really started utilizing StumbleUpon, alot of the social networking is new to me. This article came right at the right time! I am looking forward to some continued success with it!
