Bad Content Equals Bad Sales

Or, The Tao of Nielsen

Brilliant simple advice for webmasters

I found this post very useful indeed.  I just hope I can do the advice given, justice.  Time will tell and goodness knows how many hours trying to put into practise what I have learned by reading "Bad content equals bad sales" by Jason Lee Miller, thanks Jason, I am becoming quite a fan of your work.

helpful!

I'm the managing director of a not-for-profit theatre company, and this kind of information is exactly what I've been looking for to persuade our artistic staff and board to improve and redesign our website!

Content is most definitely king.  It's sometimes hard to not overflow visitors with content, but I suppose that is where good design comes in, eh?

Nielsen's comments

Jakob Nielsen may not always be right, but he is never wrong! The more I surf, the more I realize that he is right. I can't always put all of his suggestions into play, but there are thousands of sites that should try. My states Department of Public Safety (you may call them DMV) would be a good one to get a Nielsen makeover! I like the Pooh references. They seem to be somewhat true, but the truth is the truth, whether Rabbit, Eyore, or Tiger is the author.
