Faces opposition

They get what they voted for

Eventually they'll start taxing breathing air. In California we have to many liberals voting in too many liberals.

taxing moved from LA to Austin

Really I now live in Texas and have actually realized that there are no labels that described greed  and the label of the past, liberal and conservative are  obsolete.  Lets tax the air that  we breathe in the whole U.S.  So  I have  expanded my brain power  and  do not relate to  liberal or conservative, this is a facade of greed.

taxing downloads

I was raised in California, and moved up to Oregon 6 years ago because it is so expensive to live there, between taxes, housing, etc.  I think that it is ridiculous to tax downloads!  As it is, almost everything has tax on it.

Don't pass this tax law!

California's Attempts To Tax Downloads

It's absurd that California wants to tax downloads of music and videos.  The question in my mind is what did California furnish to give them any right to a portion of the profits?  Much of the internet business is from other states or going to other states.  Why should a person pay taxes to California just because he owns a computer in California?  The state is contributing nothing to the venture, they have no right to any of the proceeds.  In fact the government services they provide with the tax money are not even satisfactory according to many voters.

.....solve the states $8 billion shortfall....

hey i know, stop going to war and save your money.
