and I am alot happier. It was making me sad to think there was a sad person out there who
could prey on us. But I will pray for their salvation.

Am very sorry for you my friend, is a pity that this is how your life is going to end as soon as you don't comply. As you can see there is no need of introducing myself to you because I don't have any business with you, my duty as I am mailing you now is just to KILL/ASSASSINATE you and I have to do it as I have already been paid for that.
Someone you call a friend wants you Dead by all means, and the person have spent a lot of money on this, the person also came to us and told me have spent a lot of money on this, the person also came to us and told me that he want you dead and he provided us with your name, address, picture and other necessary information's we needed about you. He told us more information that we can not even mention here. So I sent my boys to track you down and they have carried out the necessary investigation needed for the operation on you, and they have done that but I told them not to kill you that I will like to contact you and see if your life is Important to you or not since their findings shows that you are innocent.
I called my client back and ask him of you email address which I didn't tell him what I wanted to do with it and he gave it to me and I am using it to contact you now. As I am writing to you now my men are monitoring you and they are telling me everything about you.

Plain and simple, this is a group of yahoos (no reference/offence to Yahoo users). We, as internet sheep, receive these emails and act/react to them in some way shape or form. Some of us think it's some group of genuine assasins, trained and ready to go. Truth is, it's most likely a group of stoned-out virgin teenagers spamming people from mom's basement or a grandma who finally decided she's sick of the pittance of retirement she receives from Social Security.
Long story short, report it to the FBI Internet Crime Complaint Center(IC3), your local police, internet service provider and the Better Business Bureau (any or all) and let it go. I've been the victim of legitimate attempts on my life and, trust me, there's a huge difference between receiving an anonymous letter that went out to thousands of people -- compared to staring down the barrel of a semi-auto. I'm not negating the fear factor with regards to this letter but the odds are, it's a crock of bull.

Today is Feb 6, 2009, and I received sort of a different email saying I had someone who wanted me dead. The person gave their name as head of Death Roll Squad. No other names, not even my own was named. There was no specific request for money, which is what I thought it was likely a push for. The email told me that this execution was to be carried out "at convenience", but there was no request for money. There was a line at the bottom, saying waiting for my request with 48 hrs, and an email address that says dealthrollsqd@aol.com...note that there is an "l" in there, not deathrollsqd as the email was from. The email is FROM deathrollsqd TO deathrollsqd, so there is no way for me to know whom else received this email, or decide where it came from. I am not amused to say the least.

I too received the very same letter Feb. 6, 2009 at 5:20am from deathrollsq@aol.com but this person introduced himself as (Pirlo Carlos) saying he was hired to assassinate me at convenience and that this was my last warning!.....I thought it was a hoax at first but just in case it's not I'm reporting this to the police. These people should not be able to get away with harrassment & threats!

Further investigation into the properties of the sent email revealed the return path to be wfp26685@mspring.net.
This appears toi be the origin of the email, so I sent that address a reply indicating that they need to keep their BS to themselves, and asked my son to report it to the local p[olice department.

I just received the exact letter. Its obviously a hoax. Nevertheless, it's concerning. I find it strange, too, that tey are not asking for money like the rest of these scam are doing.
I think just to be on the safe side I'll report it to local authorities.

i got the new death threat email two days ago. I don't care what they want. They can come see me man to man. I don't appreciate people trying to scare me. or my family. If they know so much about me then they can come see me.

In my death threat email the hit on me was only for $20K. AFAIC $20K is an insult: I'm certainly worth more dead than that. If my enemy is so broke he can't afford a decent hitman he should contact me and I'll chip in another $50k - $100K so he can hire a real professional.

I just recieved this e-mail today. I didn't find out that it is a scam, until I called my local police. Stuff like this is not funny, and I guarantee that I will be one of the ones to follow through with the reporting process.

This idiot is using forged message headers and yes they are almost for certain a prank, But report them anyway, as your email and copy of the message header may include something viable so that the FBI can catch this bastard.
Word has it that the Monster or Careerbuilder website was hacked and the information was snatched from there. Who knows.

This is the one I just received and interestingly enough they want me to call some stupid number with a 'password' and he'll forget it. Very strange! No I'm not dumb enough to call it but wondered if anyone else had one with no interest in money but an actual phone number to call?

(like they can't call the school and ask for schedules).

New Death Threat

I am the one who received this death threat June 10, 2008. I want to make sure everyone see the new version since it comes in different forms.

Hey i got the same type of email but they are only asking for 3,000 dollars.
Must be he is going to use a cheaper way of killing me or Im close and they dont need to spend as much on gas to get here.
Whatever the case Im not worried about it cause most spammers arent smart enough to find their way across the street.

I live in London, UK and received an identically worded email. I have a car advertised for sale on various websites with my contact details including telephone numbers and an email address so that potential purchasers can contact me. I did, however, take the precaution of setting up a specific email address for this purpose, so that if I was sent anything odd, I would know where they had found my details. The threat also itemised one of my contact numbers from the ad. I took a copy of the email straight to my local police and I also reported the matter as abuse to Yahooo (from where the email was sent) , neither have even bothered coming back to me with any reassurance. No-one seems to bother about this sort of intimidation, except those of us on the receiving end of it.

Just an update on the message I left on 05/21/08, in fairness to our UK police, they have now come back to me and the matter is being investigated, I still have heard nothing from Yahoo, however. I only receiveved the email death threat on 05/19/08 so this scam is obviously still current, they were demanding £15,000 from me. On discussing the matter with the investigating officer, he explained that these individuals often operate from internet cafe's and can be in any part of the world, and as fast as they can close their email address's down, these fraudsters invariably just set up new ones and continue operating.
Be careful if you advertise anything for sale displaying your contact details, because that is how I know thay came across mine, as I have a car advertised for sale on various websites. If you receive a death threat email, do not reply to it, they may not be serious about killing people but they are certainly intent on extracting money from us.

I have just received my very own death threat today. The hitman is supposed to be arriving next week to kill me. He didn't ask for any money on this original death threat email, however wanted me to reply to him/her? I won't stoop that low. It did shake me up for a couple of hours, but the way it was written convinced me that the sender doens't even have any idea who I was. I was a RECIPIENTS with an "s" at the end.... First, the subject area had SOME ONE A FRIEND WANTS YOU DEAD I don't have any friend that has that kind of cash to spend on me. Then, they are the hands-on type people, they would do it themselves. I had to turn this to a joke.... It's not funny, I am proactive in this battle.
I have contacted the police and the TV station. I hope it will air soon. My advice to you all reading this is to call your local TV stations and share this email and infomation. The more people know about this, the less power and impact the death threat will have. After all, we need to take care of each other.
I have recieved 2 daeth
I have recieved 2 daeth threat e-mails all in the matter of 3 weeks a apart. One was dated June10, 2006 and the other was dated July 11, 2008. giving me ten days to reply or else. To give them money.
the first one was "someone you call friend wants you dead" and the other one was "someone you call friend really wants you dead now", but if you send me "x"-number of dollars I will spare your life and send you a copy of a prerecorded tape of me talking to the person who wants you dead. The first one, well Ok I know a lot of people who don't like me, but the second one I reported it to the police and the TV station and was instructed to report it also to the FBI.
I was told it was a spam, but yet take it serouis too. Please I need some peace of mind. Forgive my spelling, I am old and spelling words aren't my specialty. . and yes it did say to undisclosed reciepents.
I was told that if you don't reply they won't we able to know if you received that e-mail or not.
