It's good to research keywords, but also it is very important to know where you rank for those keyword. You can use a tool like EZ Website Monitoring to monitor your keywords and see where you are against your competitors.

I believe a lot of people think they can take the keyword research as a simple task. What people don't realize is that if you don't pick the right keywords than the rest of the work you do afterwords is useless.

Google's keyword tool will
Google's keyword tool will definitely be included in section seven. It's not a favorite of mine for organic research but it's an essential for PPC obviously.
But that's just my opinion. :)
