It isn't a great problem
It isn't a great problem that twitters are being promoted by sex (like any other stuff), It seems to me more sad that twitters and blogs have replaced sex....It's a kind of social media madness that has overtaken everyone!

Time has told
Well, it is a year and half later and all the buzz is about twitter. How right you were when very few had heard of twitter. One difference between twitter and facebook/myspace/friendster that seem to be fads that come and go is that twitter is actually useful. That is why the celebrities have jumped on the wagon so hot and heavy. What a simple idea. Why didn't I think of that???
Roads and Rome!
Actually all roads led FROM Rome not TO it!
i'm being pedantic of course but just can't help it ;0)

Sexy micro blogging
Speaking as one who spends many hours a week writing blogs, editing/moderating comments (!) and generally staring at a screen, Twitters brief and to-the-point atitude is refreshing. It can encourage lazyness but also makes people get to the point, and often there is more of a "dialogue" than the normal "post/response".
you are the king of porn

Wow, finally got to put
Wow, finally got to put that degree in philosophy to good use! Very pithy; I like it!
Twitter
Checking FutureWikki for the year 2058, I find that Twitter and in fact the Internet itself are not being used fifty years from now. Apparently government research discovered that the Internet was "mostly a waste of time." Reading down further in the article, it says that in 2058 everyone uses the "3Step." Whatever that is.
Great article
Jason- great article. No need to comment on the topic itself but I was delighted to see such heady phrases as "anima" and "moral acuity" in an article about micro blogging. Terrific. And we need a little more "deep thought" about the moral, social and spiritual implications of technology in this business.
Sexy Micro Blogging
Well, the truth of the matter is that sex DOES sell...just look at the tabloids in the supermarket...they ALL have some sex-related article or story with some very attractive man or woman, etc. on the cover, right? So, for blogging to keep its direction without falling into the dark-side you mention, I would say the safe-area is just stay near "sex-appeal". So, if images and language are truly positive and appealing and healthy overall, and generate a real sense of peace and satisfaction that "sex" otherwise generates, the blogger has accomplished his or her mission. Like Teddy Roosevelt once wrote "carry a big gun, but carry it quietly". For me, that is the real secret to success. Cheers & Best Regards...Great Article, many thanks, Keith J.
