I think most of the searches for scientology are for negative imformation about them. Negative in the eyes of the "church". In other words they are seeking the truth scientology and not the propaganda they they post on their websites. This will hurt them more than anything because what they are most afraid of is people finding out about the truth about their so called "church". This is why they have been so anxious to censor everything they can about what has been posted about them on the net.

So who caused what? Someone stole, edited and put a video on the internet, right so far? The Church of Scientology attempted to get it off the 'net but are meeting resistance and it has spread all over, right so far? And very shortly after that, "anonymous" gave the Scientology web sites lots of webhits, increasing how those sites come up on search engines, right so far? So who is cause and who is victim, here? Anonymous, apparently, is doing something. But the way they go about it, they are increasing Scientology's public exposure by some factor, right so far? Who is cause, who is victim?

Hello, leaders of Scientology. We are Anonymous.

Over the years, we have been watching you. Your campaigns of misinformation, your suppression of dissent, your litigious nature, all of these things have caught our eye. With the leakage of your latest propaganda video into mainstream circulation, the extent of your malign influence over those who have come to trust you as leaders has been made clear to us. Anonymous has therefore decided that your organization should be destroyed. For the good of your followers, for the good of mankind and re everywhere. You will find no recourse in attack, because for each of us that falls, ten more will take his/her place.

We are cognizant of the many who may decry our methods as parallel to those of the Church of Scientology. Those who espouse the obvious truth that your organization will use the actions of Anonymous as an example of the persecution of which you have for so long warned your followers. This is acceptable to Anonymous. In fact, it is encouraged. We are your SPs.

Over time, as we begin to merge our pulse with that of your Church, the suppression of your followers will become increasingly difficult to maintain. Believers will become aware that salvation needn't come at the expense of their livelihood. They will become aware that the stress and the frustration that they feel is not due to us, but a source much closer to them. Yes, we are SPs. But the sum of suppression we could ever muster is eclipsed by that of your own RTC.

Thank You for being proactive against IDIOTIC CULTS LIKE SCEINTOLOGISTS. I'm proud to be an SP if thats how these lunitics define skeptics that question the means and gains of which this so called, "CHURCH", has come to where it is today. RLH is no man of anything that signfies good; he was a scam artist and the irony is being someone who denounced mental therapy he was the biggest WACK JOB of the last 6 decades.

You're stretching here.... The hits to the Scientology web site is not the result of regular hits- those stats are from attacks that are going on from around the world.

Dougherty also wrote, "Searches on the term 'scientology' increased 750% for the week ending Jan. 19th compared to the previous week." But then again, many of those searches may have been performed out of interest in the attack . . . . You guys raise an extremely valid point.
