Link are very important for a website but dont know about cloaking....

I went this article and knew that Cloaking & paid links both are bad.

Paid link can hurt your pagerank or ranking on search engine.

Apples and Oranges Comparison

Comparing MSN and Google is like comparing apples and oranges. Google needs to blur the line in terms of paid links because Google knows that webmasters and SEO's understand links to be a major part of the algorithm.

While links are part of MSN.com and their ranking algorithm, they obviously use other factors to a much greater degree that G

A hard line implies consistancy to be believable, untill Google gives all paid links the same penalty ( including the Yahoo directories ) these measures seem  very  selfish ...

Clocking

Clocking- this is consider as a spam in list of Google. As i think personally that please avoid clocking. This is like a black hat techniques. It can harm your sites. Regards

Cloaking

I don't think you can agree or disagree with Google or Microsoft, you just have to follow their rules. I disagree with one thing though, it's your statement about Google's position on cloaking. Matt Cutts himself said that full-flash sites can use cloaking to get indexed as long as the cloaked content reflects exactly the flash content, regardless of who you are. Anyway, good article.

Cloaking

Google is to my opinion still the most thrustworthy search engine on the planet. In Europe it has a marked share up to 95%.. Is Nike really cloaking ? I also use flash content replacement techniques which are (off the record) allowed by Google, providing the content replacement has the same text(stucture) as the flash movie
