Google Slams Paid Links? Good or Bad?

Ads Company

Google is a name of power. Google has a right, That erased or paste your links. I don't know more about it. But in my opinion this google logic need's a good for this theory popularity. Because every ad agency have own Advertisement Strategies for his serious clients.

thanks

I am very happy to heard about it that the Google manage and remove the spam paid links. And i am not interested in this stuff because i cant afford it. but i have a blog similar one.

Interesting article! Thanks!

Interesting article! Thanks!

Google is right

Google has every right to penalize for paid links (as long as they know how to distinguish between a paid link and an advertisement). If Google wants to increase the quality of their search engine, allowing paid links would be going against their agenda.

As for Google selling links, this is a very misleading argument. Google does not sell links for the purpose of link building, Google sells advertising, which is different. Webmasters do not benefit in the natural results by choosing to do Pay Per Click since advertisements are on dynamic search results.

Is this

Is this the end of paid links as we know it?

Well...

Obviously not a good thing for many... Not good at all!

great article

Good and bad I guess

my thought

I don’t particularly like PPP, but Google is playing on a very slippery slope now. They constantly fight for protection from lawsuits based on their role as a service provider instead of a content engine. However, if they continue to ‘cherry-pick’ only select sites and bar competitors from appearing in their listings, then they run the serious risk of losing their safe-haven status.

Thankyou for this article,

Thankyou for this article, I'm pleased to see you've got your Pagerank back now. Keep up the good work.

Not too Concerned

Seriously, I am not too concerned about page rank these days as I realized that any site, including my site, ranks well even on a lowly PR 3 or 4. Looks like Google don't really take it into consideration much these days.

Good Info

Thanks for the information.

Opinions

If Google wants to get rid of paid links, they would dispose of the metric for weighing links in their personal system.

thanks for your article. Very help me. I will more like visit to webpronews site. :) Fantastic

To the poster below me..How

To the poster below me..How would you rank content?? Sorry but that is a lame idea. Links will always be important, Google will make adjustment neede..regarding payed links.

100% on Google's side.

100% on Google's side. Content and relvancy should be what determines Page Rank -- NOT how big you are or how much you can afford to pay for links!

I think that what Google is

I think that what Google is doing is very good!We should always prefer to relevant sites that links to our website.

This comes as no surprise,

This comes as no surprise, Google will never let pay links dominate SERP!!

wow, bloggertizer summed it

wow, bloggertizer summed it up pretty good lol'

I have always stayed away from paid links, only because I could never afford them

I agree with the post that

I agree with the post that said you have to read Google TOS...if you read it, it will state that it is against most "link building"

yupp.. we must do something

yupp.. we must do something for blog..

i haven't read for New

i haven't read for New Google Tos..

yeah.. something happen

yeah.. something happen after that..

If you read Google TOS, it

If you read Google TOS, it states that you can't link build in anyway. The only thing acceptable is, submition to directories. Even these comments are not really "natural link building". We are all at mercy of big G.

Let google go after them.

Let google go after them.  Should weed out the spammers

Google

I too was stiffed by Adwords, whatever max budget you specify is always reached, I never saw all the benefit for all this alleged increased traffic and clicks I was paying for. I cancelled it.

This paid links wheeze is the same; Google trying to control the content of external sites basically. It is reputed Adsense clients get banned for displaying paid links on the same website. Er... but by having adsense aren't we displaying er.. paid links?

Webmasters must claw whatever income they can from sites in the current recession.

Google Shifts

This is an older article, but since people are still posting, why not post about the ffects of these changes.  For me, I know that Sept 07 was the worst crash - but the impending danger of another directory hit never really caused a problem.

Google not a public

In the end, just like the posts on other articles at WP, the fact remains that Google has every right to penalize.  Google is not a public service!!!!

I dont agree with you...

I dont agree with you...
