Right libertarianism is growing
So-called "left libertarianism" may be getting all the attention these days, particularly on the leftwing blogs, but within the libertarian movement itself, it's right-wing libertarianism that's on the rise.
In the 1980s, and '90s, right-wing or pro-defense libertarianism, was on the outs, particularly within the Libertarian Party. Nowadays, the Libertarian Defense Caucus is stronger and more organized than ever, and fighting hard against those who would surrender to the rising tide of Islamo-Fascism.
The Libertarian Party itself is poised to nominate a Strong on Defense Libertarian, Sports Gambling guru Wayne Root of Las Vegas for President.
Ron Paul's support, particularly within the libertarian movement itself, has been way overblown. The leftwing blogs and media see RP as simply a tool to bash Republicans over the head with, so they give him a great deal of coverage. Even though, ironically, within the libertarian movement itself, he's viewed as fringe and largely an embarrassment.

Cut out all "to me", "in my
Cut out all "to me", "in my opinion", etc. If you believe it, say it, let the criticism fall where it may.
Gavin.
thanks i guess
Typically, I would leave those things out, but in this situation I found it necessary to qualify that I spoke of my interpretation of those specific philosophies, lest someone objected based on other interpretations.
As much as I appreciate critiques of my writing (in some instances), I think I made the right choice in qualifying the above statements with personal ownership of interpreptation, which sort of, but not fully count as opinions.
