Finking On Paid Linking?

I disappeared from google top10

My two sites dropped from top of google on main keywords 1-9-2007. I'm now on 800+ positions. Before i submit to directories, i was in top100. It looks like google is even penalizing sites to be there. I'm suspicious that main reason was to be in searchsight and searchwarp. I think my site is not penalized, because when i search for domain name its on first position. Because of this, i'm totally without traffic from google. I'm not making money from adsense now, but just cents. Thank you google. Goooood job!

Paid Linking

Google or for that matter anybody would never ever be able to crack down on misuse on a long term. The idea of Page Rank has outlived its purpose and people have lost fortunes to SEO gurus. The only option would be to rank for keywords/phrases based on traffic. The entire focus would be on advertising and only the best websites would stand out - page rank or not.

(I am not an expert in the matter but this is my observation after being engaged actively on the net for the last one year.)

Google downgrade directories

Lets take the example of if sites accept all urls and don't reject them tip from matt.... wouldn't that make the Social bookmarking sites pretty much a large all accepting directory and therefor subject to the downgrade????

fink-a-dink

Google is like every other public medium, afraid to all a brick a brick. It's easier, and more kak-correct to BOYCOTT, SUPPRESS, and DENY, than it is to face the cold hard TRUTH about anything.

I finked...

on Aaron Swartz. His PR9 home page is littered with paid links that have the conspicuous heading 'Text Links'. Until those links are removed or aaronsw.com is deindexed I will use every black hat tactic I can think of.

Google claims it's their search engine so they can do whatever they want and until the day they own the internet guess what, so can I.

Link directories

It true Google is relying on FUD to do it's work for them. For those who don't know what FUD is it means Fear, Uncertainity and Doubt. If they can send your rank plumetting along with your income you might just sign up for Adwords.
Maybe one of these days the government will decide enough is enough and regulate the G monster.

Google's Day is Coming

When enough webmasters and Google clients finally get fed up with that search engines manipulative bull-(bleep), the internet will become a better place. Support Yahoo, MSN and the others, and flip the finger at Google's double standard.
I, for one, will be ecstatic when Google gets its "payback".

Penalized Link Directory

I wish there were someone to email, someone to talk to, someone to explain the reasoning behind bonafide, honest to goodness, helpful link directories at Google. The key to LOCAL SEARCH is the existance of these type directories. The websites I had created for local search had been sitting on top of Google search for 7 years. The business was doing well and we were excited about the future. Then came BLACK APRIL and the bottom fell out. We had spent at least 100k on programing and features listed on the sites as well as backend enhancements only to be laid victim to Googles arbitrary whims. It is hard not to be bitter.
Google has finally become the opitimy of what they originally had sought to rave against. Proving once again that power corrupts....absolutely.
