New Web User vs. Old

You are right that one reason I wrote that article was to make people aware of my new book.

However, let me point out that I would sell many more copies of the new book if I had been able to say "everything in the old book is now wrong." But sadly (for my sales) 80% of the old usability findings continue to hold true, and since those are the facts, that's what I have to report.
