A Day Without Google Draws Crowds

Days without google.

I spend two days a week without using Google, or any other search engine for that matter. On Saturdays and Sundays, I don't use the internet at all. I am part of the minority that doesn't have internet at home anymore. I canceled my service a bit more than a year ago and although I did suffer some withdrawal, I'm doing fine now. I found that I actually waste a lot less time because I don't accidentally park myself in front of the computer for too long. Interpersonal relationships improve too: there is a real world outside the box to go and see.

Interesting idea, but I don't know...

This is a very interesting idea, but I don't know if I am ready to give up google for day. This could be very difficult. Though I think might try to give it a shot here down the road. And it would be interesting like you said about keeping your eye on the Alt Search Engines.

I think this idea is sort of comparing or what you hear if everyone doesn't go buy gas for one day with it really hurt or affect the gas stations. I feel this might be the same case. Will it really affect Google to stop searching for a day?

Interesting to think about anyway you look at though.

Thanks,

Eric
