I think its a great idea to have a national internet safety month to help promote internet safety and ways to keep our kids safer online. It's scary how dangerous it can be for young children on the 'net these days. Hopefully raising awareness about online dangers will help the internet be a safer place for our kids in the future. I know there are sites out there already that try and promote safey online. MySpace has a safety site of their own. There is also NetSmartz411.org which is a site that provides parents with tips to monitor their kids online. Hopefully with all the press, steps will be made to make the millions of kids on the web these days a little safer.
