All I seem to hear is sand box this and sandbox that... All I know is that my three websites http://tucsonseosolutions.com and
http://www.yourfreshstart.us" never got sand boxed nor did my free Geocities website, http://www.geocities.com/ugspoc/yourfreshstart.html The geocities site bounces around a lot it will reach the Google first page for several searches and then drop back to pages 3/4/5 before it creeps back up to the top. It has been around since October.
The Tucson SEO Solutions another free website is new and in a highly competative feild. It also has started out with first page results and not for obscure searches. The third site has beeen around since 01/21/07. It has been on the Google first page from the begining and has stayed there... So with three sites doing so well and so soon I ask where is the sand?
No sandbox...
Actually, that doesn't sound like a sandbox at all to me. It sounds like they actually recognize that new content won't have as many IBL's and will combine age of document and IBL's to determine actual value of the document.
While there is an option for a new document to get slammed if the IBL count shows a spamming for links instead of true IBL's.
Sounds like Google is doing it the right way.
Google Sandbox patent
Actually, the patent says that recent documents can be given a boost to compensate for their lack of links.
