I think your article is right on the money, but there's another consideration with blogs. Some of us start a blog to make money and end up finding out that the money isn't what we really want from blogging. It didn't take long for me to realize that I like writing and don't like selling. My blog is my main focus now. I don't try to build traffic to it, but traffic is increasing as people find it and like what I write. I should be promoting my other blog where I have affiliate links to Green companies, but somehow, I just don't have the heart. I realize now that I'm not cut out for what you have to do to be successful at selling on the Net. I surmise that I'm not the only blogger who has figured that out.
