Frankly this just doesn't add up
Honestly, I have only been working with PPC now for a month or so, but I've found that what Google thinks is a quality ad --> landing page to be quite laughable.
Even when I added a custom written tutorial to one of my landing pages on WordPress installation, I am still getting sacked with $5 clicks for the term "WordPress installation". And it's ALL relevant to the rest of my page as well.
Now I don't know about you, but I would think that a free tutorial on a relevant term (with screen shots, no less), would be a #$%@ relevant and quality landing page... but hey, what do I know? :)
Google Quality Scores
"You can always revert back to your original landing page if you don't get good results," he said of low-performing landing pages. But don't wait for Google to disclose quality scores. Nick cringes at the thought of millions of websites designed around Google those; that's why Google will not give quality score feedback."
There are many reasons for this but most significantly by keeping things completely secret it encourages advertisers to spend more money testing and puts the honus on them when they fail to generate a worth while rpm.
