You have to know that most of these websites (Dailymotion, MetaCafe) have been launched before Youtube. This large number of video sharing website is not the result of Youtube success, it's the result of a massive user demand.
"YouTube Killer"
The folks who want to kill Youtube are the big names in media -- they want to own & control all content, and charge a fee for every step we take on the internet. Viacom is just one of them. They look at the activity on the internet, and they see $$ signs. Youtube and Google make their money off of advertising, just like broadcast television and radio. That's the way it should be done, and hopefully, that will continue.
