Was YouTube Search Bad By Design?

Have To Find To Hide

If the content were being hidden on purpose, would it not have to of already been found to do so? Also, aren't Yahoo and Lycos' audio and video searches doing the same thing as Google, placing ads on mostly copyrighted content? Webjay would be a good example.
