Security concerns? What have you been smoking. If security were the problem, the answer would be to make IE secure.
This is just another of Microsoft's attempts to control the desktop - more sick egomaniacal paranoia from Bill and his minions.
Fixing and Tracking Errors in Outlook
One of the best ways to fix (or at least address) some of these errors is to setup test accounts on Outlook, hotmail and gmail (I use Thunderbird, so please set one up for Mozilla users ;-) ). It seems like stating the obvious, but I'm surprised at how many newsletter marketing campaigns forget to do it. Often I will receieve an email with image advertisments that don't even show up on the page, with a navigation system that doesn't render and html elements randomly transported to all over the page.
Another good way to test for errors is to add tracking to your newsletters. Here is a good article on this -
