The Importance of Page Rank

PageRank relies on the uniquely democratic nature of the web by using its vast link structure as an indicator of an individual page's value. In essence, Google interprets a link from page A to page B as a vote, by page A, for page B. But, Google looks at more than the sheer volume of votes, or links a page receives; it also analyzes the page that casts the vote. Why not have a look at GoogleRanking.com or SiteRepotCard.com to see your sites stats...

PR

Most of my sites have a PR 4 or less, but rank in the top three for their keywords! I don`t worry much about the PR anymore. I have noticed it does help to have links from relevant sites that do have a PR though.

I agree. Most sites that rank high for a popular keyword, do not rank less than a PR5!!!

PR importance

Dam it, my site http://www.ableize.com just jumped up from PR5 to PR7 and nobody gives a dam :)

PageRank Updates are taking place......

i have seen changes in my PR and its is true to say that the google system is now updating, at http://www.googlebugs.com there are results and stats that show this has happened.

I have a new SEO web site and I am quietly waiting to see where it will rank. I never stay long on an SEO site that has no page rank. So with about 900 links I am hoping my new site will at least get a 3.

Somewhat right ..

The observation that Google PageRank has lost its value is somewhat right but on the other hand you still won't find a lot of web sites that rank high for popular search terms that do not have at least a PageRank of five.
A lot of the comments online are from webmasters that do not have any PageRank.
