Alt Text Is Dead?
Is it true? I believe the research but can't help but continue to believe that alt text counts for something. I think that even if it's not considered to be a factor associated with relevancy, it must at least be considered an important element in the overall evaluation of a web site.
Google, in trying to produce a good user experience must ensure that each image is properly tag for slow load. This gives browsers information while waiting for the images. I don't think the need for alt tags will ever truly go away but they are certainly less important than they once were.
ALT Text
An interesting and well written article. It is a shame that these systems almost seem to punish those that do take their time to use the alt tag correctly. Surely people should be encouraged to do this correctly to improve accessibility.
Great info
Well written Robin. Enjoyed reading it.
