Keyword Density

Yes I do have to agree with the rest. Very useful article.
What I dont understand is the on and off pages.

Should I have the main page as a static for example and off pages as where I do have the content?

Thanks!

Most website owners talk about their most important keywords, but very few really do anything about them.

Those often overlooked search terms, that are so important to a website's placement in the search rankings, are a vital component of any search engine optimization (SEO) effort.

Without keywords for the search engines to index, there is literally nothing to find in the search engine results pages (SERPs). Keywords are the function of the search engines. As a result of those searches, the your most important keywords are what lead potential customers to your web pages Take care of your keywords, and they will take care of you.

WOW

This was really helpful and informative post, but one question, does meta data keyword, description or title tag do matters ???

Locum Tenens TempSurgeon keyword density

This is a very informative and very well written article which I have enjoyed immensely.  I did have a question regarding keyword density for Meta tags as well as the body copy of the actual text.

Say I want to optimize for "general surgery" "thoracic surgery" "plastic surgery" and on and on surgery, surgery, surgery.

What I am concerned about is that all of these phrases would have the word surgery in them and just wondering if it would be better to simply target "surgery" once and then go to "thoracic" "general" plastic" etc...

And if someone searches for "thoracic surgery", would my page have just as much luck with "thoracic surgery" as it would with "thoracic" + "surgery".

I hope this makes sense, and again, thanks for the great write-up.

Natural

Too many people get over excited by keyword density, if you do things in a natural manner it is easy. If you were writing an article on the volvo v70 and mentioned the word in every other sentence the article would be poor. If you wrote an article and mentioned the term 3 or 4 times, it would read naturally and believe it or not search engines would like it, it really is not rocket science.

Keyword Density

Great post.  I had never heard about keyword densities as low as 2% for .  This is some great information.  But, I think in looking at keyword density, you must give equal weight to the prominence and proximity of keywords for SEO purposes.
