How to Optimize PDF Files for Web Sites

Great articles and loads of information. Thanks and Good Luck.

Optimizing PDF Files

So, if I understand everything correctly, there is no third party tool for further compressing PDF files...only things you can do as you're making PDFs, in order to minimize their file sizes.  Is that correct?

What about the possibility of creating thumnail images of the pertinent PDF files?  Any easy way to do that?
