Nobody expected the 2002 comedy My Big Fat Greek Wedding to be the hit it became, but the indie film blew away expectations and grossed over $240 million. It's the highest-grossing romantic comedy of all time.
Now, after 13 years, Nia Vardalos is back in the trailer for the much-anticipated My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2.
The film follows Toula (Vardalos) and Ian, her non-Greek husband (John Corbett) as they "navigate Greek life, their mixed marriage and parenthood."
"We gathered the entire family back," Vardalos said on the TODAY show. "Everyone in the first movie is back for the second movie. We filmed in the same locations. We have the same producers. We are still a small independent film now being released by the behemoth Universal Pictures. But you know, we are still the same family and we're really close, and we had a great, great time."

The film is set to debut on March 26th, 2016. It features appearances from John Stamos, Rita Wilson, and Joey Fatone.
