Scoble's Law of Five

As usual, Scoble gives great advice on how to get a product noticed by bloggers - find five bloggers and mention their names in posts to play to their egos.

He's right. Most dedicated bloggers sit on PubSub feeds for their names because they want to know if someone is discussing something they have written. I know I sit on my ego feed.

He also says that email pitches don't work as well anymore - at least for him - because of the sheer amount of information he has to process. I could envision one day in the future when this linking technique replaces the way we in PR pitch journalists and bloggers. It sure is a lot more transparent.

However, I think news outlets will need to adopt more blog features before this happens. A good technique from Mr. S worth filing away.
