New Smartphones, Tablet on the Way from LG

LG plans to launch 10 new smartphones and sell five million devices by the end of the year. In addition they will launch a tablet by the fourth quarter under the Optimus line. This is all according to the Wall Street Journal.

North Korea has reportedly joined Facebook and according to Valleywag has 65 friends. Meanwhile, it’s being blocked by South Korea.

AndroidGuys reports that Dish Network is sending out surveys talking about Google TV, revealing some new information. Dish says only it will offer the full functionality and integration of Google TV, the price point will be about $300 for the box (assumed price), "a DISH Network box with Google TV integrated into it could have a price range of $199 – $229 with a $5 monthly fee", and a possible Blu-Ray player tie in?

Digg Founder Kevin Rose has reportedly indicated that it is about a week away from launching the Digg redesign and hiring a new CEO.

Author and Wine expert Gary Vaynerchuk, who is something of a household name within the social media marketing industry, is getting a show on Sirius XM Radio called Wine & Web with Gary Vaynerchuk. It will launch on August 26 on SIRIUS XM Stars Too.
