Neon Dresses, Bathing Suits, & Bags For Any Budget

Ah, the ’80s. Such a fun time for clothing and accessories. We had Hypercolor (although those shirts got embarrassing for people who tend to sweat a lot…Hypercolor pit-stains aren’t so cute), we had slap-bracelets, we had big hair and bicycle shorts. And, we had an abundance of neon.

As with a lot of things, fashion tends to recycle trends every few years, and the ’80s and ’90s have been showing back up on runways lately. Neon is huge this season, with the larger-than-life colors adorning everything from bathing suits to shorts to bags…and you don’t have to spend a fortune to get the look, either. Take a look at more fashion-forward stores like Target for trends that suit your budget.

Of course, the neon fad in the ’80s was just taken from the neon fad in the ’60s and ’70s. Think Marcia Brady: adorable mini-dresses and platform heels (ironed hair optional). If you’re looking for awesome retro stuff, check out Etsy.com or Modcloth.com.

Of course, if you aren’t feeling the neon in an all-over look but still want to be on trend, you can always add a pop of color in your accessories, nail polish, or even makeup…just remember that the Nicki Minaj look isn’t a good idea for everyone.
