Natalie Portman and her husband Benjamin Millepied looked amazing as they walked the red carpet at the New York City Ballet Fall Gala. Natalie wore a fitted black, yellow and teal dress designed by Christian Dior. She also wore smoky eyes and nude lips to complete her stylish look. Her husband wore a black tux with a white shirt and black bow tie. The couple were attending the even to see Benjamin's work on state. The event honors all thing dance, fashion and ballet and Benjamin will soon become the new Director Of Dance at the Paris Opera Ballet next year.
Natalie and Benjamin weren't the only ones looking great at the gala. Drew Barrymore and Nicky Hilton were on there to check out all the fashion and watch the ballets. Another star and dancer, Sarah Jessica Parker hosted the event and also look amazing in a pale pink top and beige skirt.
Those who attended to even were only able to watch the premiere of three ballets and other dances, but also the fashion involved in the costume choices. Many designers team up to create amazing works of art that are worn on the state by performers. Prabal Gurung and Olivier Theysken worked with the ballet choreographers to design costumes that were not amazing to look at, but would also allow the dancers to move properly.
"I was very much inspired by the emotion in the piece and wanted the costumes to mirror the highs and lows," famed designer Prabal says of creating his costumes for the ballet gala.
